happy (early) birthday to me!

I know my birthday isn't for another month, but Kyle bought my birthday present early! First the back-story: this semester I started reading for myself again and I'm doing so much better with school. Last semester I didn't read any personal books and had the hardest time getting through each week (I even wanted to stop school at one point.)  I'm so glad I started reading again (it's one of my favorite things in life!) So after tearing through the Harry Potter series and a few of my other favs that I've read multiple times, I asked Kyle if we could go to Barnes & Noble to buy me some new books. I've been putting off buying more books because I've been strongly hinting at Kyle that I wanted an e-reader (like an iPod for books), preferably a nook by Barnes & Noble. I had wanted to save the money and buy the ebooks to download on an e-reader instead of buying the hard copy's.

He suggested that we spend the money now to buy me a nook. He told me it was my early birthday present. So, Saturday afternoon, we went to Barnes & Noble and purchased my nook. I love it so far! It came with 3 books loaded on it and I've purchased one so far. I bought Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol for only $10.22! In seconds, it was on my nook and I was reading it! I love that I can slip it in my purse and have my book(s) with me. It's perfect!!! What a great birthday present!
