full house

This week we are watching my parent's dogs (because they are in sunny, warm Arizona) so we have a FULL house! They've been here since Friday and will be here until Saturday. Their dogs are Bumper:

She's an American Eskimo/ Border Collie mix. She's 8 years old. She's a little high strung, but well-behaved. She's just confused because we don't allow our dogs on our formal living room furniture and she can't figure out why she gets scolded for getting up there.

Then there's Bailey:

Bailey is very skittish and timid. It took almost 2 days for me to pet her and she's just warming up to Kyle. She's a mutt (some Golden Retriever, maybe some German Shepard, who knows what else?) She's only 2 or 3, so she still has some puppy left in her:

Zoey's far from a puppy (she's 7), but we came home to this the other day:

Bad Zoey:

Now everyone was worried about how Bailey would do, but it was apparently Bruno that we needed to worry about. He is bummin' hard this week. He's just so passive that he is getting bowled over everywhere he goes. If you're petting him and another dog comes over, he just moves like "they're gonna push me out of the way anyhow." I've got my own little Eeyore right now. He's so sulky and depressed that he's got me a little concerned. I'm sure he'll pull through, I just hate to see him like this.

Here's a group shot (notice Bruno hiding):

But at least he's got his pal Zoey to keep him safe and happy:

It's been a crazy week with this full house, but it's been fun too!

  1. Steve says that they are just preparing you guys for kids!! That was a good shot with all four of them!! Maybe we should have done that with the 5 dogs last time we were down there!! ;)
