We had such a fun weekend! Friday after work we ran some errands and then went over to AJ's house. His house is coming together so nicely and little Penny gets bigger every time we see her! Friday night my parents brought their dogs, Bailey and Bumper, up to stay with us for the week while they go to Arizona. Bumper does just fine, but Bailey is quite skittish so it took awhile for her to warm up to me. We also played Ticket to Ride that night with Tracy and Royce. It's such a fun game and I hadn't played it for a while so I really enjoyed it (of course, it helps that I won!)
Saturday morning we got up really early, got all the dogs fed and then headed to AJ's house. We picked AJ up at 5:30 and headed to Pocatello for the Chrome in the Dome car show. First we went to Idaho Falls and met Kyle's grandma, aunts and uncle for breakfast. They go to breakfast every Saturday morning so we figured that since we'd be so close, we'd join them. It was great to see his family (it's been since Christmas). We also went and saw Kyle's other grandma since she lives in Idaho Falls too.
After we were stuffed (we all ordered too much for breakfast!), we headed back towards Pocatello. I really liked the Chrome in the Dome car show! It was a little smaller than Autorama, but there were less high dollar show cars and more well-done, well taken care of daily drivers. And, as always, it's nice to go out of state and see different cars because by September in Utah, you've seen the same cars over and over again.
A '37 Pontiac 2 Door Sedan that I fell in love with!
A '33 that I really liked!
After the show, we went to a little diner in town called Johnny B Good's. It was really good food, plus I got a thin mint girl scout cookie shake that was sooooo good!
On the way home, I sat in the back of the car so I could nap. Apparently while I was napping, AJ and Kyle made plans with Tracy, Royce & Mat and asked me if I wanted to go to a Jazz game with them. I guess I agreed ("as long as I can take a nap") but when I woke up, I did not remember a thing. They gave me so much crap and teased me forever before telling me what I had agreed to do! Silly boys! So we went home, fed the dogs, and went to the Jazz game. Tracy was able to get free tickets from her work! The game was pretty boring (the Jazz won by 20, and were ahead by 40 at one point) but we still had fun!
At the game!
Sunday we went to breakfast with some of the club members at Burger Stop. It was delicious, as always. The weather Sunday was so nice! I opened windows all over the house to let in the fresh spring air! I love spring and can't get enough of this fresh air. It's so rejuvenating! I just hope I can get through the next 4 weeks of school with the spring bug itchin under my skin. I want to go for walks, work in the garden, and spring clean!
