another great weekend!!!

Last week was a pretty great week. My first full week working at O&A (another youth center in Ogden) went well. I love it there so far; it's challenging, but fun! School's still going great and teaching is too.
Friday we had planned to stay in so Kyle could work on the '33 until AJ called and invited us to go see a Sundance movie. (It was a late show so Kyle still got some work done before we went!) It was called Nowhere Boy and it chronicled the early years of John Lennon. I thought the movie was wonderful! Very raw but well done, and with great bits of humor as well!

On Saturday we went to Burger Stop for breakfast. I seriously love their breakfast! its great to have a quality sit-down breakfast and not have it take an hour and a half! When we got home I worked on homework and housework (blah) while Kyle went out to the garage. He fired up the Mustang for the first time in about a month, so we went and took a long drive. It was so relaxing. A little later we picked up AJ and headed to dinner. At Iggy's we met Tracy, Royce, Marc & Ruth. Afterward, Tracy & Royce headed home and we went to a little bar in Ogden called the Wine Cellar to hear a blues band where Mat met up with us. I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere at this bar and the band (Blues on First) was great too. Of course it wouldn't have been a night out if we didn't play cards and Marc & Ruth's so around 11:30 we headed through the snow to play liverpool rummy. It's so funny how we can stay up until 2 in the morning when we're with those guys and not even think twice about it!

I didn't get much done Sunday except some homework and finishing the seventh Harry Potter book! I'd read all of the others years ago and was never able to get to the seventh. Then when Steve & Nicole gave me the whole set for Christmas, I started with the first book and plowed on through. I absolutely LOVED the ending! The seventh book did not disappoint but I need to re-read it because I read it so fast that I'm afraid I missed a lot of little things. What a great weekend! I'm so blessed to have such a great husband and such wonderful friends!
