We went to out to dinner to Boccia's in Ogden last Friday with Marc & Ruth, AJ and Royce. I think its my one of my new favorite Italian restaurants! They have fried ravioli for an appetizer and it's simply amazing! Their dinners have yet to disappoint us as well! We then went to Marc and Ruth's to play rummy (Tracy joined us at that point) and stayed up until 2 playing cards! Nothing new there, that's a typical card-night at Marc & Ruth's house!
Saturday we went to breakfast at Burger Stop (which is fantastic, by the way!) with some of our car friends from Salt Lake who were passing through Layton with JC heading to Lava Hot Springs (wish we had the time to join them). We also went to an ice cream party that afternoon with some of the board members from the car club. I don't know why, but my simple brownie sundae tasted phenomenal!
I'm getting busier because I picked up 12 more hours a week with the correctional health care company at another juvenile facility in Ogden. I hope that the extra money will help Kyle with the '33. He's been working so hard and we're hoping to get it done sometime this summer so we can "christen it" this car show season (maybe even in time for a national show!) Check out his progress at 33ffr.shutterfly.com He's started cutting the fiberglass on the side panels to add vents and they are looking great! Our garage is full of fiberglass dust but it will be well worth it in the end! I don't know where he finds the time and energy to work on the car but he always amazes me.
We are already getting a full car show schedule worked out for the summer. Autorama is in March and we are going to go to Chrome in the Dome in March, the Boise Roadster Show over spring break (we'll get to see Steve & Nicole!), an NSRA show in Bakersfield right after finals week, an NSRA show in Pueblo in June and possibly even the NSRA nationals in August! That's just the out of state shows, local cruise nights and car shows will be here soon!
