another great weekend!

The weekend started a little early for us on Thursday. The car club had their February activity of a Valentines dinner. We went to Rovalis, a local Italian restaurant that I love. The food was great as was the company. It was so nice to go out to dinner with the club and get a little dressed up.

I think it's a cute picture!
(considering I'd been up since 3:30 and Kyle dislikes having his picture taken)

Friday was one of the 3 days per semester when I go to campus for my Master's classes. It's a long day of classes (from 9a-6p) but I always enjoy myself. I love my classmates and coming to class reminds that there are a few things that the online classroom lacks. We always bring each other up as we realize that we're all struggling together. We are a tighter group than I usually realize, but we share the same difficult task which tends to bring people together. When I got home, Kyle and I watched the opening ceremony of the Olympics. It was a great night because I love the Olympic opening ceremonies, especially the parade of countries. It's so unifying even though they are all there to compete.

Saturday morning I did a few things around the house and Kyle did a few things in the garage so we could go to my family party that afternoon. The family party for my mom's side of the family is usually at the beginning of January but it got pushed back to today. It was so great to see my family. We are actually quite close for an extended family and I miss them often.

Today we went to Salt Lake for the monthly cruiser's breakfast (to keep us summer car cruiser's from having withdrawals during the winter months!) It was great to see everybody and it reminded us all that the Autorama is 3 weeks away with cruising season right behind it! I then spent the day watching Harry Potter 5 & 6. My mom let me borrow them and I loved them. They didn't follow the books exactly, but I was already expecting that. I like to read the books before seeing the movies because there is so much more to the stories. I can't wait for the last two!

I know that nothing highly eventful happened, but sometimes the un-eventful weekends turn out the best! And any weekend that reminds me I love my life and love my family is a great one in my book!
